“Best Small Festival –
International Good Times Index 2025“
Spirit of Eden 2026 will be from 17th – 20th July.
We are 3 days of camping, food, music in a relaxed spot on the Kent/Sussex border. Only about an hours drive from South London.
Lose yourself in nature, music and good company with a programme of live bands, DJs, food, talks, yoga and fishing in an oversize garden party lovingly put together for a relaxing journey through the weekend.
Accommodation includes hot showers and optional pre-pitched bell tents.

Getdown Services
Britain’s best band (fact) have agreed to come play the International Good Times Index’s Best New Festival. We are so very, very, excited for this one! Getdown Services have written a crate full of certified bangers over the last few years and off the back of a sold out EU tour have honed their live act which, as we’ve seen numerous times and can attest to, is a chaotic turbo sermon of sarcastic funk!

Sean Johnston
We are truly honoured to have one of the UKs finest joining us this year. Sean really is one of the best, a DJ and producer who understands the importance of how music connects people. He’s built a community around ALFOS, which he co-founded with Andrew Weatherall in 2010 and since Andrew’s passing has led it through difficult times to become the legendary club night it is now.

Nancy Noise
Possibly the most Balearic person in the UK and definitley the most Balearic person in Sussex, Nancy Noise will be back with us in July. Nancy was instrumental in bringing a whole load of musical adventurism back to the UK in the late 80s after spending long nights as a teenager dancing to the records Alfredo was playing in Amnesia. She’s a true original and always one of our favourite guests.

KOTOA
Having recent releases on Wah Wah 45s, KOTOA blend political rhetoric, soulful melodies & heavy reggae bass lines. Deeply influenced by dub & the recent rise of African inspired jazz, Kotoa are a rising force and following on from the success of their first two singles, Higher Being and I Am, their cover version of Fela Kuti’s Zombie has received enthusiastic support. They are a lot of fun and we’re very pleased to have these jazz travellers back with us this year!

Poppy Prescott
Understated, open and charming, Poppy can draw a crowd to silence with her soft soulful vocals and folk-style storytelling. Her wonderful blending of haunting vocals and Jazz arrangements result in a clutch of charming, heart on sleeve acoustic ballads. Poppy grew up surrounded by musicians in Hastings, a seaside town of contrasts, which is reflected in her most recent work, Reasons Why. Her writing nods as much to John Martyn and Nick Drake as contemporary artists like Adrianne Lenker and Billie Marten.

Brian not Brian
Back with us in 2026 is massively respected musical archaeologist Brian not Brian, known, for his unparalleled dedication and charming manner. Brian co-runs the Going Good label and is regularly seen gracing the booths of the worlds most dicerning nightclubs. At heart, Brian is a genuine enthusiast with the experience and knowledge to consistently delight dancefloors with his truly varied style.

MITHA
MITHA will be joining us in July for a new little woodland stage. Mitha have been running over 3 years now across London, Leeds and Bristol, hosting sweaty heads down nights at clubs like MOT, Club Eiger and Loco Klub. They’ve really pushed a European sound and have had guests like Radioactive Man, Intergalactic Gary, DJ Subaru and Jive Talk join them over the last year.

Accident Machine
Old pal of Spirit of Eden and lovely fellow George T was bought together with Mairi ‘b’ Pots at Edinburgh’s Godmother of clubs, Trendy Wendy. They’ve since built a wonderful symbiotic partnership, blending acid, live percussion and discordant vocals to make an unpredictable act of nervous dancable chaos. The last year has seen them supporting the unbridled debauchery of Decius, and beeing taken into the mighty Optimo fold, whilst both been running their well respected radio shows.

Toby Tobias
Toby’s long been a much respected figure in the UK scene. He has an extremely varied style and has released countless music we’ve loved on labels like Rekids, ESP Institute, Delusions of Grandeur and International Feel, whilst also putting out his own stuff on London Housing Trust, Discotecas and Voice Notes. Last year he also brought along his nice line in odd dub, bleeps and dancehall which will send even the harshest of cynics into a involuntary dub trance.

Suena Bien
We have the sonic masterpiece that is Suena Bien Soundsystem joining us and powering the Eden tent this year. Suena Bien is the work of Carlos Figueroa with the support of Oli Evans and a group of like-minded friends, all with a love of good music being heard properly.
Carlos was instrumental in the making of Floating Points’ Sunflower Sound System and that experience fed into the design and build of Suena Bien. With an added element of what can only be described as pure artistic joy, this makes for a unique piece of audio sculpture. The Spirit of Eden team heard it being road tested by Norman Jay a few weeks ago at their sold out night at Stanley Hall. If Norman’s a fan, that’s good enough for us!
